MULTIPLYING COMMUNICATIONS
When major conflicts are escalating beyond the desires of official diplomacy to resolve, essential information regarding conflicts becomes restricted. As a result, accurate conflict resolution formulations become limited. However, non-state actors can unofficially engage in fact-finding and root cause analysis, as well as conflict resolution exploration directly with the conflicting parties. As such, citizens, academics and former diplomats, specifically, carry a unique responsibility to transparently restart and expand diplomatic correspondences within a peace research context.
International Channels for Diplomacy (ICDiplomacy) provides a platform for civil societies, academic, semi-official and governmental networks to transparently engage in and publish their conflict resolution explorations with conflicting parties. The network aims to de-escalate conflict and communication sanctions and serve as a communication multiplier by inviting and relaying conflict resolution strategies between relevant audiences of one country and those of another.
